Heads up: PC parts are getting pricey again

Okay so I saw this news from PowerGPU and had to share because it's gonna hit a lot of us where it hurts. They posted on X that SSD and memory prices are climbing again, and they're passing those costs to customers once their current stock runs out. Which apparently is happening next week.

This is frustrating timing. We just got through that whole pricing mess in late 2025 when everyone was scrambling for parts. I thought we were finally seeing some stability, but nope. The volatility is back. And here's what bugs me - PowerGPU isn't some tiny shop. They move serious volume, so when they're feeling the squeeze, you know it's industry-wide.

I checked around and yeah, other vendors are starting to hint at the same thing. The wholesale markets are apparently going nuts right now. What's driving it? Nobody's saying exactly, but my guess is it's the usual suspects. Production hiccups, shipping delays, maybe some currency stuff. Whatever the reason, we're the ones who end up paying.

So what should you do? Honestly, if you've been sitting on a build list, maybe pull the trigger now. I hate saying "buy now or regret it later" but that's where we're at. Check your favorite retailers this week because once the current inventory depletes, those new prices are gonna sting. Trust me, I've seen this pattern before. It usually takes months before things settle back down.
