Intel Arc B770 GPU Finally Shows Up - Worth the Wait?

Someone spotted "b770" references in Intel's official GitHub repository over the weekend, which is basically Intel's way of accidentally announcing a product before they meant to. The timing makes sense though - CES 2026 starts in a few days, and Intel loves dropping GPU news there.

What we're looking at is supposedly the BMG-G31 GPU with 32 Xe2 cores and at least 16GB of VRAM. That's a decent bump from the A770's 32 Xe cores (note: Xe2 is the newer architecture). But here's where I raise an eyebrow - the rumored 300W power draw. That's getting into serious electricity bill territory, folks. For comparison, the A770 pulled around 225W.

Look, I tested the original Arc A770 when it launched, and it was... fine? Good price for the performance, terrible drivers at first.
