Nvidia just twisted the knife on GPU shoppers (again)
So a reliable leaker says Nvidia's cutting GPU shipments by 20% and we won't see new gaming cards until 2027. Yeah, this hurts.

Okay so I saw this leak and had to share because holy crap, GPU shoppers can't catch a break. MEGAsizeGPU (who's been pretty spot-on with Nvidia leaks before) dropped a bomb yesterday: Nvidia's apparently cutting shipments to board partners by 15-20%. And get this - no new GeForce gaming GPUs until 2027.
Let me put this in perspective. We're talking about supply cuts when GPUs are already stupidly expensive. I mean, have you tried buying a decent graphics card lately? The RTX 4070 Ti Super I tested last month was $800. Eight hundred dollars! For a card that used to be considered mid-range pricing. Now Nvidia's gonna make them even harder to find?
Here's what really gets me. We're in January 2026, right? So we're looking at potentially two full years without new gaming GPUs. Two years! Meanwhile, AMD's probably rubbing their hands together, but let's be real - they haven't exactly been aggressive with pricing either. The whole GPU market feels like a cartel at this point.
The timing is suspicious too. Nvidia's riding high on AI money, selling H100s and B200s for tens of thousands each. Why bother with us measly gamers paying "only" a grand for a graphics card? I'm calling it now - if this leak is true, expect current GPU prices to jump 10-15% by March. Maybe more.
Look, I hope MEGAsizeGPU is wrong on this one. But given their track record and how Nvidia's been treating the gaming market lately? I wouldn't bet against it. If you've been waiting for GPU prices to drop, well... might be time to bite the bullet.
