Nvidia's mystery N1X chip might finally show up in Dell laptops

Okay so I saw this leak and had to share because this could actually be a game-changer for Windows laptops. Remember Nvidia's mysterious N1X processor that Jensen Huang accidentally mentioned like a year ago? Well, turns out Dell might be planning to stuff it into their next XPS lineup.

Here's what we know. Some shipping manifests just surfaced showing Dell's been receiving N1X test units, and honestly, this makes total sense. Nvidia's been super quiet about this chip since it popped up in their DGX Spark AI systems, but putting it in consumer laptops? That's where things get interesting. We're talking about Nvidia's custom ARM silicon here, not just another Intel or AMD refresh.

The timing feels right too. Apple's been crushing it with their M-series chips, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite is finally making ARM on Windows somewhat viable. If Dell's actually testing the N1X for their 2027 XPS refresh, we could see some serious competition.
