Nvidia's skipping 2026 entirely - RTX 60 series now years away
Just got word that Nvidia won't drop ANY new gaming GPUs this year. We're looking at 2027 for Super cards and probably 2028 for the RTX 60 series.

Okay so I saw this report and honestly? I'm both surprised and not surprised at the same time. The Information is saying Nvidia's basically taking 2026 off when it comes to new RTX gaming GPUs. No new cards. Nothing. Nada.
Here's what I'm hearing. The RTX 50 series Super refresh is apparently done - like, completely designed and ready to go. But Nvidia's sitting on it until 2027. And get this - the RTX 60 series probably won't show up until 2028. That's two whole years from now.
This feels weird, right? I mean, Nvidia's been cranking out new GPU generations pretty regularly. But when you think about it, maybe it makes sense. The RTX 50 series just launched late last year, and they're still impossible to find at MSRP. Plus, AMD's not exactly breathing down their neck with competitive offerings.
What bugs me is this leaves us stuck with current pricing for way longer than usual. No new cards means no pressure to drop prices on existing ones. And if you're waiting for that sweet RTX 5070 Super or whatever? Better get comfortable because 2027's a long way off.
The cynic in me thinks Nvidia's just maximizing profits while they can. Why rush out new products when people are still throwing money at current ones? But man, as someone who actually wants to upgrade without selling a kidney, this timeline sucks.
