Okay so I saw this deal and had to share... except it's not a deal at all. It's Samsung basically telling the internet to calm down about some crazy rumor that memory prices were about to jump 80%. Yeah, you read that right. Eighty percent.

The whole thing started on X (still feels weird not calling it Twitter) with people freaking out that Samsung was planning this massive price hike across all their memory products. RAM, SSDs, the whole shebang. And honestly? Given how rough the memory market has been lately, I get why people bought into it. We've all been watching prices creep up for months now.

But here's the thing - Samsung's PR team jumped on this fast. They straight up denied the whole thing. No 80% price hike, no plans for anything that dramatic. Just internet rumors doing what internet rumors do best: spreading faster than actual facts.

Now don't get me wrong. Memory prices are still a mess right now. The shortages are real, and yeah, prices have been climbing. But 80%? That would've been insane. Like, cancel-your-PC-upgrade-plans insane. I've been testing budget builds for the site and RAM costs are already painful enough at current prices.
